ZEP held its sixth annual General Assembly in Brussels on October 4, 2011, entitled: "Realising the EU’s Clean Energy Future - The role of CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS)".
The 2011 General Assembly brought together the EU 's leading CCS experts and key stakeholders - including the European Commission, the European CCS Demonstration Project Network, industrial and national/regional CCS stakeholders, and many more - to address the role of CCS in the EU's low carbon energy future and how to deliver a successful demonstration programme in order to secure widespread deployment of a cost effective low-carbon solution that will deliver jobs, capability, competitiveness and energy security for the EU.
